The Words Of Jesus
Remembering...
My Words, They Are Spirit And They Are Life
Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord: 30 And thou shalt love the Lord thy
God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy
strength: this is the first commandment. Mark 12:29
Jesus went into the temple of God, and cast out all them that sold and bought in the temple,
and overthrew the tables of the moneychangers, and the seats of them that sold doves, 13 And
said unto them, It is written, My house (your heart, soul, mind and body) shall be called
the house of prayer; but ye have made it a den of thieves. Matt. 21:12-13
He said unto them that sold doves, Take these things hence; make not my Father’s house
(your body, mind and heart and soul) an house of merchandise. 17 And his disciples
remembered that it was written, The zeal of thine house hath eaten me up. 18 Then answered
the Jews and said unto him, What sign showest thou unto us, seeing that thou doest these
things? 19 Jesus answered and said unto them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I
will raise it up. 20 Then said the Jews, Forty and six years was this temple in building, and
wilt thou rear it up in three days? 21 But he spake of the temple of his body. John 2:16-21
Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and
where thieves break through and steal: 20 But lay up for yourselves treasures (the
true riches, Righteousness, Joy and Peace in the Holy Spirit) in heaven, where neither
moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: 21 For where
your treasure is, there will your heart be also. Matt 6:19-21
He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much: and he that is unjust in the least
is unjust also in much. 11 If therefore ye have not been faithful in the unrighteous
mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches? 12 And if ye have not been
faithful in that which is another man’s, who shall give you that which is your own? 13
No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else
he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.
Luke 16:10-13
Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye
shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat,
and the body than raiment? 26 Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they
reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better
than they? 27 Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature? 28 And why
take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not,
neither do they spin: 29 And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not
arrayed like one of these. 30 Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day
is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?
31 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or,
Wherewithal shall we be clothed? 32 (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your
heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. 33 But seek ye first the
kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
34 Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things
of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof. Matt 6:19-34
When he was gone forth into the way, there came one running, and kneeled to him,
and asked him, Good Master, what shall I do that I may inherit eternal life? 18 And
Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God. 19
Thou knowest the commandments, Do not commit adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not
bear false witness, Defraud not, Honour thy father and mother. 20And he answered and said
unto him, Master, all these have I observed from my youth. 21 Then Jesus beholding him
loved him, and said unto him, One thing thou lackest: go thy way, sell whatsoever thou
hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, take up
the cross, and follow me. 22 And he was sad at that saying, and went away grieved: for he
had great possessions. 23 And Jesus looked round about, and saith unto his disciples, How
hardly shall they that have (and trust in) riches enter into the kingdom of God!
Mark 10:17-23
One of the company said unto him, Master, speak to my brother, that he divide the
inheritance with me. 14 And he said unto him, Man, who made me a judge or a divider
over you? 15 And he said unto them, Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a
man’s life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth. 16 And he
spake a parable unto them, saying, The ground of a certain rich man brought forth plentifully:
17 And he thought within himself, saying, What shall I do, because I have no room where to
bestow my fruits? 18And he said, This will I do: I will pull down my barns, and build greater;
and there will I bestow all my fruits and my goods. 19 And I will say to my soul, Soul, thou
hast much goods laid up for many years; take thine ease, eat, drink, and be merry. 20 But God
said unto him, Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee: then whose shall those
things be, which thou hast provided? 21 So is he that layeth up treasure for himself, and
is not rich toward God. Luke 12:13-21
Behold, I will send my messenger, and he shall prepare the way before me: and the Lord,
whom ye seek, shall suddenly come to his temple, even the messenger of the covenant,
whom ye delight in: behold, he shall come, saith the LORD of hosts. 2 But who may abide the
day of his coming? and who shall stand when he appeareth? for he is like a refiner’s fire, and
like fullers’ soap: 3 And he shall sit as a refiner and purifier of silver: and he shall purify
the sons of Levi, and purge them as gold and silver, that they may offer unto the
LORD an offering in righteousness. Malachi 3:1-3
When the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.
2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it
filled all the house where they were sitting. 3 And there appeared unto them cloven
tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. 4 And they were all filled with the
Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.
