Hi Everyone,
I will begin this Newsletter in praise to God for his great love for us in that he has given unto us, So Great A Salvation. I remember my mother telling me of Jesus and God so many times as I was a child, before I ever knew them personally.
When Jesus said that he came that we might have Life and that more Abundant, He meant just what he said. We can have a wonderful life in him, now in this present world and in the age to come too. When we are born again and have the Holy Spirit of God and the Words of Jesus within us, we are a new creation and truly live a wonderful life filled with God's Love, Joy, Peace, Hope and Righteousness. When this world's persecutions and troubles in the flesh come our way we have the Spirit and Power of God within us to give us victory and comfort, and though our outward man perisheth (becomes old as a garment, and vanishes away) our inward man is renewed from day to day. 2 Cor 4:16
I rejoice when I think back and remember the night I prayed and called upon the Name of Jesus and first met my Heavenly Father, of the many times that God, touched and healed my body, of the times I have gathered with the saints in praise to God and to sing about his, Great Salvation and of the times I came to him in prayer and he would give me such Calming Peace through the storms and persecutions of this adulterous and sinful generation that we are living in. Oh, how precious are the memories!
I'm looking forward to this New Year with joy and hope in Jesus, to do the works of God my Heavenly Father. (Jesus said, greater works than these shall you do because I go unto my Father, the Father and I will come and make our abode in you and I will not leave you comfortless, I will come to you.) Jesus is speaking here of the works that God's Holy Spirit will do through us and not the works that require lots of money and physical strength to do, but that which God has given to each one of us, the True Riches of his Holy Spirit and Power.
In Acts, Chapter 3, where Peter and John met the lame man at the gate of the temple, begging for alms, Peter said to him, "Silver and gold have I none, but such as I have, give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk." And immediately, his feet and ankle bones received strength.
The parable of the talents in Matt 25:14, speaks of the True Riches God has giving to each one of us, his children. We have the same Spirit and Power of God dwelling within us to do the works of God as Jesus did. Fear and unbelief will cause us to be as the unjust servant who went and hid his talent (money) in the ground. The "talent" represents God's Holy Spirit and the mighty powerful Word of God that has been written upon our hearts and minds and that speaks to and through us continually as we are living on this present earth. We are to do as Jesus did and help others with the Gift of God that he has given unto us. Jesus said, "Freely ye have received, freely give."
Apostle Paul prayed that we might know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fullness of God. (20) Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to His power that worketh in us, (21) Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus through all ages, world without end. Amen. (Eph 3 19-21)
Jesus said, If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you. (8) Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples. (John 15:7-8 )
